Why Do I Need A Baby Nurse?

  • Baby Nurses are trained professionals who have made a career caring for newborns. You cannot envisage what it would be like in those first days. The importance and relief of having a Baby Nurse will greatly alleviate any anxiety and provide much support. Mothers need rest after delivery. The one-on-one care which our Baby Nurses provide will be incomparable to that of any family member.

What Can I Expect From A Baby Nurse?

  • Flexibility is a prerequisite  for all our multiple specialists. They are usually reserved three to six months in advance of your due date. However, multiple births never arrive when expected. They make their presence felt somewhere around the thirtieth week. The Baby Nurse will keep in touch with you throughout the duration of your pregnancy. Once the babies arrive at home, your Baby Nurse will work with you to establish your expectations and routine. Hiring a Baby Nurse will mean full nights rest for the new Mom, unless she chooses to breast feed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

~ What exactly is a Baby Nurse?

  • Baby Nurses are trained, experienced infant specialists who specialize in newborn care in the first weeks after birth. Baby Nurses teach parents how to care for their most prized possessions. They establish a routine for parents and family members, which is especially important for multiples.

How long do I need a Baby Nurse?

  • If you are the type of person who needs a full night's rest, the Baby Nurse should stay until the babies are sleeping throughout the night. For single births, this can be between 3 - 8 weeks and 8 - 12 weeks for multiple births. Of course, this is entirely dependent upon those concerned.

~ Are Baby Nurses RNs?

  • No! Baby Nurses are usually not RNs, but they are trained, experienced infant/newborn specialists. They are also certified in CPR and First Aid.

~ Who relieves the Baby Nurse?

  • When dealing with multilpes, if the primary Nurse lives in her home state, after 10 - 14 days she will require some relief time. Her relief will be equally competent. If the primary Nurse travels coast-to-coast, she will fulfill your total needs as per our reservation agreement.

"We never had a live in care giver and didn't know what to expect. It's rather difficult bringing anyone into your home, especially when it is only temporary. The Baby Nurse sent to us from the STORK PLUS entered with a smile that put us all at ease. She was nurturing, caring, and patient. I actually cried when she left.
